Meet DJ Ankletap, also known as Malome, the lively and dynamic host of “YOUR Mornings with Malome Tap” on YOU FM. Born in Carletonville, DJ Ankletap grew up in Potchefstroom where he attended school before pursuing a degree in Psychology at the University of Johannesburg.

When he’s not on air, DJ Ankletap can be found indulging in his love for house music and gaming, or cheering on his favourite football team, Liverpool. With over 12 years of experience in broadcasting, DJ Ankletap is a seasoned professional who started his career at just 11 years old as a stadium announcer. He first joined Tuks FM and later YFM where he spent 7 and a half years hosting the breakfast show and 12 years at the youth radio station.

Now, he’s back in his home province of Northwest and excited to connect with the YOU FM audience every morning. His show is all about starting your day off right, with stories, laughter, motivation, and opportunities to help listeners make the most of their mornings. DJ Ankletap’s passion for his home province and its people shines through in his work, and he’s looking forward to getting to know his audience even better.

DJ Ankletap’s impressive career highlights include winning the South African Miller Soundclash championship and performing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. He’s also a five-time nominee for the South African Radio Awards and was named Best Broadcaster at the 2016 Brandhouse Awards.
