Kgosi Tshimega presenter of YOU FM’s Purple Soul Train, Sundays from 6pm to 10pm. Born in Ga-Rankuwa and raised in Mabopane Block B, He studied Financial Management and Communications. In his free time, Kgosi has diverse interests, including karate (which he practiced for 29 years), chess, football coaching, and DJing. He is also an MC, soccer commentator, voice-over artist, and actor.

Kgosi’s radio journey began when he started doing local soccer commentary. After his father bought him a sound system, he played at weddings and parties, eventually becoming a program director for a major event. He then started doing street radio with his friends, and his passion for radio grew from there.

Kgosi’s dream was to work for YOU FM, and after working for several other radio stations, his dream finally came true. He admires the culture and working environment at YOU FM and appreciates the learning opportunities he has had since joining the team.

He values YOU FM’s audience for their support and their love of welcoming new presenters to the station. Kgosi is a well-rounded individual with many talents who is enthusiastic about his work and the opportunities it brings him.
