Bandile and Banele Mbere created Major League DJz, a South African music band. The twin brothers were born on January 3, 1991, in Boston, the United States. They have achieved great success in the music industry. Since their father was a music lover, their upbringing makes them musically inclined.

Banele and Bandile of Major League DJz are representing South Africa in the Best International Act category of the 2022 BET awards. The Twin DJz took to their timeline beaming with pride when announcing the news to their fans.

“Mommy your boys are nominated for a BET award. Piano to the world,” they announced.

As part of the Best international act category, the Amapianos are nominated alongside UK’s Little Simz and Dave, Ludmilla from Brazil, Tayc and Dinos from France, and Nigerian stars Terms and Fireboy DML.

Major league DJz have opened the door for future Amapiano DJs internationally, especially those coming out of South Africa, through their diverse and unique DJing and performance techniques.

In particular, one duo has taken this sound to new horizons with their Coachella set. Despite being highly impressed after Major League DJz previously revealed that they signed a major global deal with Atlantic records, Mzansi is still expecting a lot from the Major League DJz.
